Last night I finished another art class and this was my final painting. I used acrylic paint on illustration board. I was going for a film noir feel to illustrate an article about pulp fiction of the 1940's.

The issue is ISSUU.com
Andrew and I put this limited edition booklet together last Christmas as a little gift for family and friends. I thought it would be fun to publish it on Issuu.com a self publishing website. I joined the site ages ago, but forgot completely about it until now. There are just so many things on the internet it's hard to keep up or remember all my passwords.

Not Macaroons, Macarons
I ordered this book back in December hoping to make yummy macarons for the holidays, but no such luck. The book finally arrived yesterday after I had given up hope of becoming an accomplished macaron maker. They say macarons are the new cupcake, but I think they are too fussy to make to be as commonplace as the cupcake. Although gaining in popularity blogs are full of stories of failed attempts and faulty recipes. This book was the only one I could find on Amazon.com that was dedicated to making the tasty french treat.

PSYCHO: Recent Work
This is my most recent work of late. It's a newsletter for the Alex Film Film Society—a group of film buffs that present classic films, newsreels and cartoons four times a year. The events take place at Glendale's Alex Theatre a refurbished vaudeville and movie house.
